Michael Messner of Siemens Energy sent us this email, reviewing a stream of AMOS projects over the years and their results:
The AMOS team this semester was fabulous! It reached all goals and improved EMBArk significantly. Communication and collaboration were really good.
Reviewing our history…
- The downloader for EMBA, a firmware analyzer by Siemens Energy, was started as an AMOS project
- EMBArk, the EMBA management dashboard and controller, also was started as an AMOS project
- The EMBArk orchestrator from this semester’s AMOS project adds real enterprise features
- We are developing these components further using students from the AMOS project
I think it is fair to say that our open source solution can compete with “professional” software often significantly more expensive than €100K.
Using EMBA, every company or developer or pen-tester can perform security analysis, including SBOM generation. And all of this is open-source software!
We are ready for the cyber resilience act!
